“Favor of a Dance” was inspired by the episode “Shindig” from the TV show, Firefly. It’s a song about respect and disrespect, playing romantic games, and showing generosity and kindness in relationships. The song includes a sort of West Side Story battle comparing a dance with a sword fighting “dance”.
